    Anyone know anything about cars?

    Advertisements
So...last week I noticed that my air will only blow out starting at 4...it goes up to 5.

Anyhoo...I go to the store this morning and then come home. I went to leave again and was driving down the street and noticed that my thermostat was all the way to the right at 260.

No check engine light on or anything.

I am afraid to drive it to the repair shop on Monday morning.

Anyone know if I should be checking any fluids? I am lost.

Also, when driving it to the mechanic if the temperature stays up you can drive with the heater on (which totally sucks in the summer.) But it will take some of the heat off the engine

It could just be needing to add coolant or your thermostat is toast. With the air conditioner you might just needj a freon refill (the mechanic will do it).

Thermostats are usually pretty easy to fix and not that expensive if that actually is what the problem is. So don't let them take you for a ride if you have to go to the mechanic!
