    Thanksgiving Dessert

    Advertisements
    I'm drawing a blank.

Pumpkin pie seems too "typical" or "expected" (plus apparently there will already be pumpkin pie ), so I'm looking for ideas.

What are your favorite Thanksgiving desserts, or something you've always wanted to try?

What about like a pumpkin cheesecake? Or are you trying to get away from pumpkin all together?

    Pumpkin cheesecake could be good.

I found a recipe for Pumpkin Cream Pie that looked good, but DH was like > which wasn't quite the reaction I wasn't hoping for
I also found a recipe for nutmeg/eggnog cheesecake that I think sounds good (didn't tell DH about that one)
Theres also a baked apple recipe (that has this great cinnamon sugar-cream cheese stuffing) that I was thinking I could convert into some sort of crisp...

He wants it to be a "normal" dessert

Apple pie, pecan pie, apple crisp. Personally I wouldn't do cheesecake just because it is too filling/rich to have after a huge meal, IMO.

I usually make pumpkin pie and pecan pie. Sometimes I buy a dutch apple pie, if there will be enough people there.

I hate pumpkin, but somehow I love pumpkin roll, and they're really fun to make.
