    Hungry Fall Foods

    Advertisements
I'm having a "fall" day with my DB tomorrow and was trying to figure out something to make for dinner. It's not quite a "halloween" day, but it will be partly. We are going pumpkin picking, corn maze-ing, hay riding, there will be animals to pet, peddle carts and the like. We are then going to carve pumpkins, and possibly have apple cider, and carmel apples.

What can you suggest for a REAL MEAL for dinner?

    TIA!

Chicken and dumplings are AMAZING (to me at least

And I have always made sausage balls for part of Thanksgiving and it's always something my family makes in the fall.

What about like biscuits and mashed potatoes with like a chicken pot pie soup? Does that sound Fall-y?

Oh my there are so many wonderful "Fall" foods. (it's totally my favorite time of year)

    Beans and Cornbread
Baked pumpkin&Ricotta pasta (like lasanga but you mix pumpkin puree and ricotta cheese OMG it's amazing)
    Chicken & Dumplings
    Potato Soup
Bean/Meat Casserole with Dumplings on top.
    Biscuts and Gravy

Those are some of my favorites.

Ok, chicken and dumplings sounds popular. Anyone have a recipe? I've never had it before. Don't know what it is. DB probably knows exactly what is is.

    It's incredible

Haven't had this particular one, but I'll be making it in the next week...

I think your chicken pot pie idea sounds amazing! I wish I knew how to make one from scratch.

Oh man! I haven't had chicken pot pie in forever! I love that, stew (it gets dark here earlier and a bit cold so it seems good with biscuits), soups and I haven't made chicken and dumplings either but I hear they are good
