    help me with my turkey!!!!

    Advertisements

last year i made my first turkey, and with the advice of a coworker, used honey and orange juice to baste it and apples and oranges to stuff it. needless to say, it was way too sweet, and icky.

i want to know what you baste your turkey with, that's all.

    TIA !

I live to love and laugh alot

I stuff the cavity with celery stalks. I used butter and a little chicken bouillon as well! It comes out so moist every year! Of course I do call up my mom for further directions...LOL!!!!

I only baste with chicken stock and a little butter. but you should always always rub your turkley down lightly with veg or olive oil to help keep it moist, and help it brown all the way around, also, pour a coupel cans of broth or stock into the botom of the pan(ha keeps it moist too) and really all you have o do is baste with the juice in the pan. thats it. Iif you get a butterball turkey, it has absolute fool proof direction with it.
