which degree
Ok so I am going to this two yr school right now. I decided to get the associate's since I just want to show that I have completed something. I took some classes way back in 99 and 00. I took four or five at Phoenix last year and will have the classes that I am taking at this school. Do you think it's better to get the associate's here and then go to a four yr or should I just try to transfer all this stuff over to another school and just let employers know how many credits I've completed?

It depends. Will you get any benefits from getting the AA now? Ex. a raise at work. Will you feel like you've accomplished more if you get the AA now or do you just want to go to the 4 year? It will have the same result, but different implications along the way.

if i go straight to my BA it will take me 3.5 years to get that. so i figure, get the AA and then only have to spend another year to get my BA instead of 2 more years. did that make any sense????

If you're planning to work in your field of study along the way, I recommend getting the AA. One of my friends got her AA, then decided so go for her BA later, but she got a job that had to do with her major while she was going for her BA. She even got a lot of her last 2 years of college paid for from her employer. But what got her in the door for her job was having the AA under her belt. So, it really depends on what you want to do along the way to getting your Master's. Good luck on making your decision, Sweetie!

What's GNVQ's? an AA is associate of arts and AS is associate of science. It's a degree that will get me going for a job rather than a career, I think. Some counselor explained it to me yrs ago. I didn't know if having that really mattered since I'm going to continue for bachelor degree, but I think I will just do the associate to feel as if I finally accomplished something and continue from there. whoo, long sentence. Thanks girls!
