What classes do you have to take? - School & Work

To be an ultrasound tech? Do you have to take the general classes? Can you take any of them from home? Any info please

I have a friend that is going for that and I believe that it is a program, but I do believe that you have to take a few basics like comp 1 and algebra

That's what I was hoping to do. I really want to learn something so I can atleast be hireable when I want to get a jobby-job. I'm hireable with what I have, but I don't want to do what I've been doing...

Look into Grossmont College. They have some awesome medical courses that dont take too long and I believe they have one for that route. Can't remember though.

If you get a regular degree (associates or what not), then you need the general classes. If you go to a trade school, you just go through their condensed program, which I think lasts about 9-14 months. Here are some links that might help with giving you some info on general requirements and such:

My mom was training for it at one point, but she's also an RN and really, I don't want to be an RN right now...eeeew, blood
