Question about your work email & voicemail

Does your administrator at work have your email password and voicemail pin? Ours does, and I think it's kind of weird. Obviously work email is sort out there for everyone, but I don't like the idea that one woman at work can just log into my stuff if she wants to.

No. I'm sure IT has a way to access it, but my boss doesn't.

Yes, our administrator has that info. I don't mind, because I don't use my work email for anything other than work.

my friend and i both have desk jobs and we email eachother all day.. nothing inappropriate, but it still makes me weary that they could be reading up on my business.

No they don't. Well with e-mail, I'm sure they could (or do) read if they wanted to. But I don't mind, it's just work crap in there. My work phone is in my name and I expense it through the company, so they have no access to that voicemail at all. But I'm a field manager, not in an office.

They do not have access to my email. The phone is the office phone, so everyone has access to it.

I don't have a job, but my dad is a manager at a major company and he (and the other managers) do have access to their employees work emails. I am not sure if he has access to their voicemails for work, however.

Nobody does. We have to change our passwords monthly. The only way IT has access is to reset the password completely.

No we have to change our computer passwords every 90 days. I am sure that IT could pull our emails if they needed to and could reset our passwords if they had to. However voice mail no if you loose your password I think you are kind of screwed.
