Does anyone here do Medical Coding and Billing?
I am wondering if being a medical coder/biller is a good job. Please let me know:
1. if you have this job 2. do you like your job 3. where did you get training and was it difficult to learn 4. was it hard to find employers that were hiring for this job Thanks! |

I don't do medical billing and coding, but I do medical transcription.
The training I went through offers the medical transcription or medical coding and billing program. They are one of the top training programs. When I started job searching most companies I looked into recommended my training program. I got the first job I tested with and had the 5 years required experience waived for me because I was a graduate of CS. That says a lot right there. The school is Career Step. If your a spouse and have heard of MyCAA then you can get the training for free through them. If your interested you can go to www.careerstep.com/militaryfriend and there they will walk you through getting a profile set up with MyCAA, as well as enrolling with Career Step. I'm an affiliate with Career Step so if you have any questions about any of it just pm me, I'd be happy to help you out.
