FYI - Internship opportunity in military child care

Subject: NEW COLLEGIATE INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY IN MILITARY CHILD CARE

This is one of the first projects implemented under the new partnership between 4-H National Headquarters and the Department of Defense. They are pleased to announce that they are accepting applications for the inaugural term of the Military Extension Internship Program.

Through this initiative, students and recent graduates will have the opportunity to develop professional skills in childcare and youth development through practical work experience with military child, youth, and family programs. Interns' compensation will include travel to and from the internship site and housing for the duration of the placement.

Applications will be accepted through November 6, 2009 for placements beginning January 11, 2010. Subsequent classes of interns will be selected for summer and fall semester, 2010.
