So during the Spring semester at my school..I kinda stopped going to classes

DF had left..and I was very lonely at school..and basically I was depressed and I wanted to withdraw from the University but they would make me pack up my stuff and leave..and my parents would have been LIVID if I did that..so "smart" me..I just kinda decided to fail all of my classes and had a 0 GPA.

I get a letter in the mail saying that I will prob have to pay an amount to Financial Aid..because I "unofically withdrew."

I am fraking out because my parents have nooo idea..neither does DF and the wedding is soon--I hope the amount isn't HUGE.

One of my daughters did that. she has about $10,000 in school loan debt.

Notice I said SHE has the debt..... not WE have the debt. It's on her.

I'm pretty sure you can't get lower than a C with a financial aid. I'm sorry this semester didn't work out...

I would contact financial aid asap to find out the amount. I've not be in this situation but you probably should find out as soon as possible how much you're going to owe.

Yeah, it's on me and I realize that. I also paid for my school not my parents.... It just sucks.

if you are ok with being the one paying, thats cool. im just concerned that you seem to be so ok with the whole dropping out of school part. BELIEVE me, i understand the depression problems, and withdrawing and not wanting to go to class. but that got so much better when i started making friends. do you think you'll continue school somewhere else, that you would be more comfortable? i just hate to think that YOU have paid all this money and put in the effort for it to end this way not trying to criticize your choice, just concerned. im good at worrying.

I def see where you're coming from and I am planning on continuing. So many things happened like all at once..DF left for the first time ever in our relationship, then I was about 6 hours away from home, my roommate was horrible, The University was going to be dropping my major..so at the time, I was like what's the point??!
But as soon as I get to Guam in August, I am going to be looking around for online stuff there because we're gonna be there 4 years.
I am just hoping that I will have to start paying on my loan now instead of when I graduated...
