This year my brother will be hosting Thanksgiving so I am glad to only be in charge of making a pie and a cheesecake for dessert. I feel for all of you who will have to go through all the process of getting dinner prepared. Hope it will be quick & pain free!

Yeah, I'm probably going to eat my weight in food.
DB was talking about wanting to fry turkey as well, I've never tried it, hope it turns out well
If you're too proud to follow rivers, how are you ever gonna find the sea?

Mmm. I imagine it's going to be delicious. Thinking it's like fried chicken, ya? In any case, can't wait to try it!

DH is making the turkey in his oil-less fryer (infrared cooker)
    I'm making:

    Dressing
    Baked Mac'n'cheese
    Green Bean cassarole
    Candied Yams
Pumpkin Pie cookies (sugar cookies with pumpkin pie filling in them)
cream cheese with pepper jelly (appetizer)
    Bacon wrapped asparagus (appetizer)

    It's not like fried chicken.

If you inject it ahead of time, it's so moist. The skin is crispy, but not like a breaded fried chicken. I've had fried turkey my whole life. I can't imagine cooking one all day long.

I'm so freaking pumped for Thanksgiving and just read through everyone's menus again and it made me even more excited I was originally just going to do a turkey breast in the crockpot but ended up getting a 10lb turkey and will be throwing the whole thing in there! It'll sit in there all day and then I'll finish it in the broiler. OM NOM NOM
