keep you full?
what are some things i could add to breakfast muffins to keep me full? also my overgrown db. he barely has time to eat breakfast and buys his lunch -__-
i'll be moving in with him next sunday and i need to eat better so i am thinking about making a batch of breakfast muffins but i want to add some things in it to promote that fuller feeling. does anyone have any suggestions? also i am going to do a simple recipe and put shredded apples and oatmeal in the muffins. i'm also thinking of adding dried cranberries.

You could try adding oat bran instead of oatmeal- it has more fiber. I would recommend using whole wheat flour instead of regular baking flour, if you can stand the different consistency. If you can increase the fiber, you can increase the satiety you get from eating them. If you like/aren't allergic to nuts, you could put almonds in them too!

I've found that if I eat an all carb breakfast that I'm a lot hungrier faster. Lately I've been having yogurt, egg white omelet, turkey bacon and one whole wheat pancake with sugar free syrup. It comes out to about 300 calories and keeps me satisfied until lunch. Sometimes I will save the yogurt until around 10am and eat it then as a snack.
I found these on pinterest a while ago and its great for a go to breakfast. You can make them on Sunday and then stick them in the fridge and heat up as you go. http://familyfun.go.com/recipes/mini-frittatas-687877/ I usually skip the half and half and just make it a quiche type thing instead of the fritata.

Eggs! DH eats egg whites every morning. We buy the carton of egg whites and he just pours how every much he wants. When he eats actual eggs he eats like 6 of them
They keep him full.I, on the other hand, have coffee for breakfast. Caffeine is an appetite inhibitor. That's not good to not eat breakfast though, so don't follow my lead.

I have been having smoothies in the mornings with oatmeal in them and they seem to keep me full for a while! Especially a peanut butter banana oatmeal one
