Looking for a recipe...
I am wanting to make a cheese dip... like a nacho dip but I have had it with ground hamburger and sausage but I don't know how to make it... Anyone have any good cheese/meat dips to eat with fritos? I'm having a craving.

I have a simple one!! You can even make it in the microwave!!!
1 pkg velveeta cheese(lg) 1 sm can green chiles 1 can of chili without beans...you can use more if you want and a little bit of salsa cut the velveeta into squares and add the rest of the ingredients...microwave until melted, mix often!!!

the cheese dip i make is similar to the one judy posted. they sell that tostitos salsa con queso in a jar... put that in a bowl and microwave it for 2-4 minutes, stirring halfway through, in the meantime heat some canned chili on the stove (with or without beans). add a half a jar of tostitos salsa into the queso, and then add in the chili, and stir it all together. you can heat it a little longer if you want.
it's really good!

I've been making this one for years. I got the recipe from my sister in law
1 package cream cheese 1 can chilli (no beans) 1 block monterey jack cheese Spread cream cheese on bottom of 9 X11 microwaveable glass pan. Spread chilli over cream cheese. Top with grated cheese. Microwave until cheese on top is melted and serve with frito's or tortilla chips. Delicious and very easy! |
