An EXCELLENT pre-packaged jambalaya is the Tony Cacheres Jambalaya with Cheese. Its VERY VERY good. SOOOO easy to make too. Just fry up the sausage until browned, throw in the rice mix and a couple cups of water, simmer for about 20-25 minutes and you're done! Very tastey and BY FAR the best one I've tasted.

This is an EXCELLENT recipe. I make it once a month or so, and serve it over jasmine rice. It's one of our favorites. I use less brown sugar though, about half.

I made the one last night w/ rice instead of potatoes & didn't put the veg's in it. It was good, but if you make it, I dont' think it needs 2 cups of cheese. I would use the 1 cup & bake like it says, but then I would put only a half or less of the other cup of cheese on top. It was definetely good, but a little too cheesy.
Tasted like cheesy potatoes w/ sausage. |
