German Chocolate cake help!

What type of icing do you typically put on German Chocolate cake? What is it suppose to taste like? DB just graduated Airborne like no joke 20mins ago and his favorite type of cake is German Chocolate, so im trying to put it together fast for him. TIA!

that coconut stuff- YUM! (Coconut pecan I think it is? It's easy to find with all the other frosting)

It's not funky! It's yummy. You've never had it? It's one of my favorites! It basically tastes like chocolate cake. But if you don't like coconut, you probably won't like the frosting.

its choc. cake and you put icing on it you can get it in the store for it it has coconut and nuts in it

i bought "German Chocolate" cake mix at the commissary last night i should have figure the icing was coconut, it looked that way on the cake box
