Diabetic cooking

I was wondering if anyone knows of a good diabetic cookbooks. I just recently went to the doctor and he told me I'm borderline diabetic and need to start eating like a diabetic. I'm really not thrilled about the doctors orders but I'm trying to make the best of it. I'm just worried the food wont be good.So If any of you know of any cookbooks or have some good recipes please let me know. Thanks

I have a TON of diabetic cookbooks and recipes. You can get some really good ones at the grocery checkout (those small ones), or you can get them online.

The food has been fantastic. I posted some recipes in the recipe section here, but they may have disappeared.

The biggest change we had to make was portion size. Basically, if you visualize your plate in quarters, 2 quarters should be fruit/vegetables, one quarter should be meat, and one quarter should be taters/rice/pasta.

You might also want to go low-sodium, too. Trust me, it's not as bad as you might think; you just have to read labels. I have found the reduced-sodium broths, soy, and Worcestershire sauces to be excellent.
