Kosher Question... - Recipes

Is Jenny-O ground turkey kosher? I have no clue and need to find out, like... yesterday. My head is spinning trying to accommodate gluten free, kosher, vegetarian plus food allergies.

Totally depends on the Jew.. I would say that if you question it, then no.. I wouldn't even mess with it if you're unsure of their teachings and standards..

Can you do fish? As long as the fish has scales and fins you're good

Is there a K in a circle anywhere on it, or does it say Kosher pareve? Otherwise, no.

I don't know try the chabad website.. google it.. there are many symbols on packaging that will tell you if it is kosher. I only stay kosher during high holidays.

I looked at the Jenny-O website and it does not say that their products (as well as ground turkey specifically) are Kosher.

I can't do fish - I'm really seriously allergic.

I vacuum seal all of our meat in meal portions right when we buy it so I didn't have package handy to look at. I looked on the website and didn't see it either...

I'm just stressing over what to feed the new roommate.

I'm slightly worried about our expenses going up trying to buy kosher meats ($10 for 2lbs ground turkey, compared to $7 for 5lbs of ground turkey that I normally buy!) and foods he will eat -- and things not being offset enough by what he is contributing financially. Just trying to get a plan together and make sure we actually don't lose money because of expenses.

Eating kosher is very expensive. Thats why so many jews don't do except on high holidays.
