Baby, I'm bad news.

PLEASE HELP ME!
I'm 23 years old. I feel like, by now, I should be able to put together a decent meal. I'm sure I could if I really tried, but I'm scared I'm going to screw it up and waste a bunch of food. Sounds weird, I know. So, I need your help ladies.
What are some of your favorite recipes (if you're willing to share and ones that will be fairly easy for my domestically challenged self)? Any helpful hints? I have pleeenty of cookbooks and a crock pot but they're both back in MN. ![]() Anything else? I'm seriously considering challenging myself and cooking something new every day...whattya think?!

One of the yummiest, easiest things I make is mostaccioli. It practically makes itself.
Find a recipe for marinara sauce, or buy a jarred brand that you really like (Newman's Own brand is my favorite). Cook tubular noodles as directed on package. Brown Italian sausage in a pan with a little olive oil. Combine everything in a casserole with lots of mozzarella cheese, bake at 350 until bubbly and cheese on top begins to brown. Delicious served with a salad with Italian dressing and toasted garlic bread! ![]() Yep, that's dinner this weekend for me!

This one is my fav.. its soo easy ..
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Spinach-Ziti/Detail.aspx I have another one that turns out really great too .. but I cant find the recipe.. so hold on LOLEdit : i cant find it! ughh .. but I just get boneless skinless chicken breats and roll them around in dijon mustard and put em in pan then I pour about a cup and half of terriyaki sauce of your choice all over them Sprinkle bacon bits and parmesean cheese on top and bake at 325 for 30 minutes! Of course make sure they are cooked all the way through but they're good!! I always service with mashed potatoes and veggies or something

Sweetie, I don't mean to sound rude but why isn't the "next Bobby Flay" making dinner if he can cook that well. That is one job that I would trade with him and do something in the house that he didn't like maybe dusting or vaccuming.
Be sure and check the receipe forum here... there are some great receipes from these ladies. Some are pretty easy.

He usually does cook. The way I see it though, he shouldn't always have to make dinner. We both do the laundry and both clean up after ourselves. I don't see why he should always have to make dinner and I should always have to clean. I would just like to cook in general as well, not only specifically for my husband.

I'm watching this thred because I am as well hopeless in the kitchen and DB is a cook so I need practice. My problem is he is also VERY picky. He loves pasta so I will definatly try the first receipe posted here. Thanks
