A Beautiful Mistake

I can't remember for the life of me how to make this?
I just bought all the stuff..... brats/kraut/potatoes..... What I'm unsure of ... is do I cook the brats and then add them to the kraut/potatoes..... Or Do I slice the raw potatoes and the kraut and brats and let simmer all day. I can't remember how my grandma used to do it. IT's so simple too.

I don't know about the potatoes as my dad and I usually just did mashed potatoes. But we always cooked the brats in a skillet a little bit to brown em and then put em in a pot with the saurkraut and let it cook a little more
sooo good!

When I make it I buy the canned new potatoes that are already peeled.
I put the kraut, potatoes, kielbasa, a can of beer and sliced apples into my crock pot and let it simmer all day. Absolutely mouthwatering!
