If I'm pressed for time and have to use jarred sauce, I always sauté up onions, peppers and garlic and add it to the sauce. It will be yummy. Go for it.

I have tried Garlic salt in my spaghetti sauce, and it was too salty...so then I tried garlic powder, and it was AWESOME.
I say try garlic powder
