Using Buttermilk
I have a recipe for chicken tenders and it says to soak the chicken in buttermilk and spices for an hour then coat them in corn flakes.

Will they have a buttermilk taste?

the buttermilk serves as a tenderizer. and keeps the chicken moist while cooking. i've never had a buttermilk taste.

if you dont' have buttermilk ( i never do) you can just add a teaspoon of vinegar to milk.. wha-la.. buttermilk..
