Has anyone used this?

Is it good, can you tell much of a difference from beef? Does it cook the same? Does it taste the same? Is the texture the same?

Love them. You season them however you would your ground beef and they taste pretty much the same. I use them a lot for tacos and spaghettii

Good to know! I hadn't been brave enough to try the meal starters (either the "beef" or "chicken"). But I love their other products. Maybe I'll give these a try sometime.

I'm always amazed that the texture on the chicken nuggets and chicken patties is so right!

^^The chicken meal starters are WONDERFUL, the beef strips not so much.

I use the beef crumbles in chili and you really can't tell if they are in something. I would not try to make hamburger patties out of them or anything, though.

I liked it when I used it! I put it in some hambuger helper mix!

I can't tell you if it's the same as meat, haha, but I served it to a friend who said that the helper with this in it was better than normal. So, go for it!
