Question on pork ribs...

I forgot to defrost them in the fridge, so I put them in the microwave for a couple minutes on defrost. Just enough to get them apart from eachother. I put them in the crock pot with bbq sauce. Should I put them on low since they're not defrosted all the way? or is high okay since I plan on leaving them in there till the meat falls off the bones?

I would guess it's ok. Depends on hopw long they are going to cook for. You could put them on high until they are almost done then turn it to low or warm.

okay perfect! I thought that might be okay! put them on high until like 5 and leave it on low for the last 2 hrs or something

I add orange juice to mine. It sounds gross, but it makes the meat super tender (I guess it's the acidity) and a little sweet. Mmmmm...that sounds soooo good!

ooohh....thanks for that tip! How much do you add? I just soo happen to actually have orange juice right now! The kids normally burn through that like crazy

i think cooking them on high will over cook them

Just a little bit, maybe 1/2 cup to a cup depending on how many ribs you are making.

so you think 6 hrs on low will finish defrosting them and completely cook them? I have no clue about pork, normally I stick with beef
