he could possibly be discharged.. Also he can loose his ablity to deploy.. DH has said that if you regularly take anti depressants you can become a danger to yourself and others when you are on ship. ( because you can stop taking them and there is no way to monitor you) and therefore become non-deployable.

If he is diagnosed as bipolar, he needs to be taking meds. Is this your diagnosis or a doctor's? Depression is part of being bipolar. Does the ship know this?
