Well, DJ saw his new "prescriber" yesterday. We're both relieved in the fact that they're only removing one of his sleeping medications and leaving the rest of his drugs alone. He stressed to the doc that it took 8 months and 2 hospitalizations to get him to where he was now and he didn't want to mess with them.

He's been so snappy and LOUD lately.

I mean, I know we're not in an ideal situation. I know living with someone (especially my mother) is a huge pain in the ass, but it's only until late Dec/early Jan.

He's always quick to apologize for being an ass (and admits "God, I'm such an *******!"), but it doesn't soothe wounded feelings as easily as it used to. I'm getting tired of being snapped at and/or yelled at multiple times a day. We're going to come to blows soon, and it ain't gonna be pretty.

After DJ gave the doc the lowdown on his symptoms and what we've been through, the doc looked at him and said, "Wow - and she hasn't left you? That's a strong commitment on her part."

Ya think?

I feel like all the good he did while he was in Roseburg the second time has been undone by moving in with my mother. He's been a Class A ******* every day this last week but one. I guess it's progress because he knows he's being mean, but ...

Anyhow, I'm just rambling now.

That's all that's going on. We're just trying to survive one day at a time.

Hugs! Here's to it getting better for the both of you. I am sure he is completely stressed out over the fact that you don't have a place of your own. Kind of like the macho man thing in them. I know my husband had issues with that. He still does feel badly that he can't really provide much for us.
