Lil Update
DJ's doing so well.
I'm so grateful. He graduates from his treatment program on Wednesday. He's excited to be moving out of this area. And most importantly, he's doing so well.

I just wanted to say congrats to you and your family. I also want to thank your husband for all he did for his country so selflessly.
My husband will be graduating in 2 weeks from his 7wk inpatient ptsd program and he also think its wonderful he's doing well. He has much respect for any US Veteran and says Thank you for all you did.

Britt, I am so proud of you and DJ for working so hard at this. It is definitely a battle, and you have both grown and become stronger. I hope you will have access to a VA hospital close by where you're going and can continue on with treatment.

You keep picking at it until you get it, then wonder what to do with it. --Unknown

Suzy at Roseburg also told him that he is welcomed back at SIPU whenever he needs it. The travel pay would offset his plane ticket, so that's exciting for us. His family here in Medford would pick him up and drive him north to Roseburg. He could stay the 4 weeks, and then they could drive up and get him. Plus he'd be able to see his (deceased) father's family. Thank you everyone for the well wishes. I've had him home with me for 4 days now and he's doing so amazing. We've had a few bumps - the lizard's lightbulb exploded again and it took forever to get it out of the lamp (normally this would've made him very angry, but he just continued to work at it and eventually got the rest of the bulb out. )He's also on a high dosage of penicillen for an abcess under his tooth; it's making him really nauseous. They gave him a different mask for his CPAP machine, and that's helping him too. The other one he had was actually giving him sores in his nose. This new one looks like a squishy vagina that he puts over his whole nose at night. ![]() He's in really good spirits, and is really looking forward to our road trip/move. I'm just really happy.
