It was going so well... - PTSD

DB and I had been going through a rough patch, we had a big drama followed by lots of heart-to-hearts, and everything has been good again...until this morning, he called and sounded all weird.

He was home and he wasn't supposed to be, so I asked what was up; he didn't want to talk about it. He was supposed to find out about a house he wanted to rent; he didn't want to talk about it.

He said he needs some time to think about things; I asked him what kind of things: us

His schedule has been crazy and tough on both of us and says he is questioning the timing of us.

I hate when he pushes me away! I have stood by him through everything; it has not been easy for me, but I have done it without question or second thought. I really don't know if it is just a bad day that will pass, or if this is the end of us.

It is just so frustrating!

I feel your pain. I have been through this with mine, I can't tell you how many times. It's like up and down the moods. I'm actually going through something similar again. It really is frusterating when they talk all weird and out of the norm and make no sense at all. I know with mine it's a combo of things and most of it is more than likely the war and situations they go through which we will never completly understand. I try to keep that in mind and that it's not me, it's the things he is going through. Don't give up. I have always stood by my man no matter what. Even when he is in one of those moods. I just leave mine alone for a while and then later after the dust has settled it's usually better and as if nothing happened. Keep your chin up. I know it's hard, I have to do the same. The good thing is there is a lot of support here and a good way to vent to others who are dealing with the same things. Best wishes to you.

It appears to have been a bad day. I gave him the time he asked for; I was on pins and needles for a week. Everything seems to be back to where it was before we hit our rough patch.
