were asking me to respond to my thread but ummm you got it closed...
{{thanks to all the women who responded to the post with dignity and class. You show true kindness and understanding. Take pride in being a good person, bc the rest showed their true colors}} Ok, so I didn't write back until now, bc it was too interesting to keep reading the crap some people say, when they don't take time to actually learn the facts. My hubs just sat down to help me better "clarify" everything for u "o holy ones" First off- he told me i should let everyone know i have severe adhd (no literally i take 1** mgs of adderall xr daily) so he said that may help ya'll get past my "oh look a duck passing by" when i try and actually write something to make sense. so i'm sorry if my thread was a little confusing. I wrote this thread for some advice and when i put lol by anything it's to make light of how i truely feel or the situation. i do not know you ladies so it's a little uncomfortable to start talking ab a serious subject but the sarcastic parts of the thread were simply the best way to word things to people who don't live a life like this and wont understand to not think my husbands ptsd is off the wall. Here is a little more to help you understand: my husband is Active duty but for you "army smart" people you should know after they have served a tour overseas (in a war, in case you needed clarification) they are "combat veterans" "iraq war veterans" "war veterans" and so forth.. look it up, it may help you out bc you will severely piss a vet and/or his spouse off. my husband is being medboarded (MEB/PEB) look those up. He has three profiles. One mental, one physical, and he has an H3 profile. WTU- warrior tansition unit.. before you run your mouths learn what people in wtu are doing in there. its medical and if you meet the standards to be sent to one you have your case manager set a plan and you see all your drs and treatment with a wtu clinical "whatever your husband is needing to be seen for" richard has neurological and social worker and well do you sorta get it now. you get a PEEBLO for medboard. they act as an advocate (the simplest way to compare their role) but they are pretty awsome. ncptsd- national center for ptsd!! you need to look it up before you write stuff. there u will learn about PTSD and they have inpatient and outpatient treatment. my husband refused (since u all are so nosey) bc its a debate of TBI (traumatic brain injury) being the primary injury! learn what tbi means and no i wont go into what type or severity bc thats not something that you need to enjoy knowing about. the 7 week inpatient program is right there in the website http://www.ncptsd.va.gov/ncmain/index.jsp that link will help you learn alot about what i was talking about. as far as risk gh risk. alert:black. sorry your husbands don't learn something that’s pretty common at work bc then they would have been able to help yall to help me with my thread. no my dh didn't "over hear" anything. your case manager gives you weekly print outs of cond. med. intervention. appointments,... but come to find out "black” actually was a mistake (on her behalf) and he is still RED alert! what the whole non complient was explaining is... since he has been on 40 plus meds (no idiots not at once) and some things have happened Which Are NOT Up For Discussion because it is being dealt with by the Ombudsmen and it is not something to share. but he's VERY COMPLIENT with treatment, but non complient to two certain meds so he was put on DOT (direct observational therapy) the point of telling how my husband lashed out was to possibly see if that was why he was "what the paper said, put on alert:black" do not ever make a judgement til you know the facts. again the threats of pcm are bc of some issues and that in the hands of the ombudsmen at the moment, not ya'lls. secondary ptsd is very real. i do not pretend to have my husbands. lol please don't get any smarter. If you need to learn a little about mental disorders and be nosey ab them. here you go. i myself have adhd, anxiety disorder, ocd, secondary ptsd (ptsd can get very complex and sometimes what you don't understand doesn't mean it's not real) my ptsd is from the physical abuse from my husband.no he doesnt just for the hell of it beat me, ive known him ALL my life and he was the most amazing sweetheart you could meet. but after war he didn't get affected the worst instantly. that is why he is diagnosed late on-set CHRONIC ptsd and he has only been violent when he disassociates (figure it out youself) *"The amount of dissociation that follows directly after a trauma predicts PTSD: individuals who are more likely to dissociate during a traumatic event are considerably more likely to develop chronic PTSD"*"Members of the Marines and Army are much more likely to develop PTSD than Air Force and Navy personnel, because of greater exposure to combat" Meds like SSRI's have a big impact on him. Sertaline was the worst. and his psychiatrist put him on the wrong amount and there was an incident and she no longer writes his scripts but works in a team now for him. The med Topamax also caused him to have one or two incidents of "dissociation" These links will help you understand just a few types of disassociation(s) he has or does experience but can't be put into one except the generic word disassociation to help “others” understand http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fugue_state http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychogenic_amnesia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Displacement_(psychology) now about the fight, flight or Freeze reaction."The freeze response plays an important role in the promotion of symptoms following trauma, such as PTSD, and also appears to foster chronic illness states such as chronic fatigue, depression, fainting, and may also affect risk for narcolepsy and Alzheimer's, among others. "The freeze response is an automatic, non-conscious reaction that occurs when mammals face an overwhelming threat. This response is a last ditch effort to save itself. In some instances it is the optimal survival tactic.” Read up on it, I bet you will read some interesting things about it. Well I sure hope this helps “clarify” my thread. It’s a shame I just found this site and bc I didn’t understand how it works people say I have a signature thing on posts. Umm hello a signature was on cp user thing link and it said edit profile and had all these options. One of which says “signature” so I put one on my profile. My profile is not on your threads so unless you read my profile, how do u know my signature? Glad you admit you like my profile. I actually hope you do bc hopefully reading a little about my two amazing daughters, husband and me will help give some of you going through a hard or even harder time a sense of confidence and strength. I’m very big on wounded warriors and veterans and especially the women behind these soldiers. You all are supposed to be the backbones and the ones representing your husbands. Do you have no humbleness? I’ve seen more foolish words then wise on my thread. Please remember, you never know what your life will bring. Take a second to count your Blessings because you never know if that next second your whole life could change forever and test your faith in God. Think before you speak, it will keep you from sounding foolish to others. Thanks again to the ones who really took time to try and help answer my thread. I really appreciate it ![]() ps: there is no need to respond to my thread, just save your breath and use it elsewhere. |

Closing this before it gets ugly, and because it has name calling in it.
