hubs has been on high risk and green alert (that last a whole month, lol)amber alert, then red alert.
buuut i had to call to sgt's and his lt. col sunday night to come get him and take him away again, yes and it was midnight they all had to come. well he got his weekly papers from case manager and my mouth dropped.. he's now high risk and Black alert!!!! what is black alert?? he was like wtf, they think im crazy. lol. i tell him before we see sgt, lt. col and majors to stop telling them he wants to strangle his mother ****ing pcm, shoot his psychiatrist, and he still hates his (now ex. haha) social worker and every time he sees him. yes, my husband just lets it all loose on the highest command he can at all the wrong times. so what is black alert?? he's on direct observational there program due to his "non complient behavior" and finally after 8 months i walked my fed up ass w/him into a majors office like i had to dignity and promised he will go to the inpatient program and not refuse a few days before like he did last time and put us in a jam bc he is being too non complient now. so he leaves this wednesday for the 7 week in patient program at the Va hospital in waco, tx. (THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR PTSD) Of course hes made sure everyone suffers til the 15th and since he was sent to the wtu and he's been here over a yr... meb/peb has been again pushed back (we cant get past phase two to save us)bc they have to do something else now. we had a peeblo or more like a one night stand peeblo bc he saw her once and never heard her name since. so could the black be a code or something to the people at the n.c.p.t.s.d that he needs to still be on DOT and is a little nutty at times? please help! if he keeps dwelling on what's that damn color black mean and is he straight jacket material, he's going to trigger me again and then we get out of no where turn on each other and set off fight or flight mode on each other and he disassociates and then i freeze disassociate(my freeze mode has now reach a new high of 2 hrs!!!wtf) and it becomes really nutty to any sane person these days. so to give the big baby his paci, i would appreciate some info and hopefully reassurance no one is out to get him and it's not a "looney been" he's going too. ahhhhhhhh!

um... i think what i got out of this was that her husband has been "color-coded" for his level of PTSD symptoms/acting out, etc... and apparently, when he "goes off" on one of his angry episodes, he doesn't care who is around-- so he may be on a high-risk b/c his sgt/major/lt.col have heard some bold things come out of his mouth.
he's listed as "code black"... whatever that means and he's on his way to a VA Treatment Center... as for all this:

Well, I kept thinking I KINDA knew what she was talking about, and then all the sudden it was like she was speaking in Hebrew or something. I have NO idea what the last third of that means. Like, at all.

AND, doesn't it seem a bit lighthearted if her DH is threatening to shoot people? I mean, WTF? Are you proud of him, OP? Cause thats what I got out of it.

okay... i just spent way too much time than i'd like to admit googling my arse off about "color coding" and ptsd. i've read books on coping with PTSD in ref. to loved ones and never seen a mention-- i looked it up briefly in our home-copy of the DSM IV. nothing. the only thing i found with anything having to do with color is that 'Hypervigilance' is typically described as being on constant “red alert.” (http://www.helpguide.org/mental/post..._treatment.htm)
could it be something type of coding that is unique to the military? code green: poor guy just got back and he's feeling alittle tense. code red: he needs serious help. code black: serious help... then med board. like that type of thing?

exactly. you think you get the gist of it, and then... no.
umm anyways. back to this post... OP, you might wanna try to gussy up the grammar and come back with something more articulate. or maybe give some background and definitions of the color coding system you keep mentioning? it seems like something is stressing you out, and like you've had a tough ordeal with your DH's PTSD, in which case but, this post is incredibly hard to understand, and your flippant nature regarding some serious issues makes it hard to relate to.

hey rad!!!
anyways... the more i think about it... the more i'm . i just re-read the OP and noticed something: "amber alert" in reference to PTSD? amber alert is for child abduction. and for diagnostic purposes PTSD is normally broken down into "acute", "chronic" and "delayed on-set" categories. assuming the best here: i'm guessing the colors-- once again, are some sort of esoteric coding system unique to army's psych/case management department.

huh?!
loli'm just as confused as the rest of yall. on another note though, i remember seeing that she posted in that CRAZY thread a few days ago (the one titled "what ordinary wifes dont get" from a couple weeks ago)... which, first of all, i was confused as to why it was being bumped after it had died out so long ago. second, she actually agreed with the OP, i think? . http://www.militarysos.com/forum/sho...23#post5534323i know that has nothing to do with this thread, but i wasn't sure if anyone else saw it
