Waiting for Spring!

Britt - my DH is at 60 percent disability and, like yours, struggling. (In large part to make the transition from military to disabled veteran.)
Hang in there. We've had plenty of challenges, but also keep meeting kind people who really encourage both of us.

First I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this but don't give up hope. The VA has great VocRehab programs that he can qualify for. They will help him find a job that fits his disability and provide him with the training and tools he needs. Once you get through the medical stuff, have him contact the VA in Roseburg and get set up for VocRehab counseling. In the mean time there's TONS of info on the rehab program on their website. If you have any questions, PM me. I've been through the process.
Second, hi neighbor. I grew up in Canyonville .Hang in there. I know I don't know you but if you need to vent or have any questions, pm me. Rebecca |

I'm 60% disabled and qualified. If he is totally unable to work, they have programs for that as well. I'll see what I can find for you. I know they have programs for Vets who are totally unemployable as well. Don't count it out. They may be able to help him find a job that he can do with is disability and give him all the training and tools he needs. He earned it so take advantage.

I don't know his symptoms so I can't say, but I wouldn't pass it up until they fully said no.
There's a great orgainization that may be able to help you both and that is the Disabled American Veteran's. www.dav.org They have chapters all over. They may know of some other support networks to help out. I hope it works out for the both of you.
