Hi girls. This is my first time posting in here, I've PMd a few members from this section of the forum, but I just wanted to take a minute out to introduce myself real quick. I'm Lucy, my DB's active duty contract was up in December (08) and since then we've been living together. He's currently fulfilling his contract with the reserves here in MD.

Anyways, the reason for posting this little intro in this section.... He is just beginning the whole process with the VA, he had his initial appointment where they diagnosed him with PTSD and possibly TBI. He is set to start his mental health appointments in June. I'm really proud of him for taking the initiative, but I know its going to be a long road ahead of us.

So far they have prescribed him Paxil and Ambien, but his neurologist said that the woman he will be seeing in mental health will most likely be switching his meds. The Paxil, so far, is making him sick. He doesn't like the way he feels at all, but he did just start them so he promised to give them time and follow the directions of his doctors.

I really look forward to getting to know some of you girls better and lending my support wherever I can!
