Ive been with df for a year or so now.. I love him with all my heart.. but i WORRy alot about him. He went to Iraq in 05! its been three years, but he still shouts commands in his sleep, and if hes not grinding his teeth, hes crying out and shaking. The other night, i went out with some girlfriends.. and came home wayyy late.. he had fallen asleep on the couch, well, i went to wake him up to take him upstairs to bed, and i touched his arm.. he reached up and grabbed me by my throat.. i screamed his name and he dropped me.. this has NEVER happened before and i was terrified.. we spent the rest of the night holding each other.. He seems fine most of the time, but he has shared a little about iraq with me, and daily is getting better! he just scared the holy
out of me.. anyone have a similar case or this happen to them??

i can't say that we've bee through this but it sounds like he needs to def. seek some professional attention for his traumatic experiences. you could go with him and lend your support to him. ya know? i feel for you guys because i know that must be really tough on him...as well as you!

Have him go see Mental Health and maybe start talking to someone.
It's important for him to get help if he's showing the signs. If he's uncomfortable going through the Army I know there are some places that aren't affiliated with the Army but they deal with things like PTSD. I know that is what my DB is going to now.

She beseeches Him, she will not desist, and when God points to the hands and feet of her Son, nailed to the Cross, and asks, 'How can I forgive His tormentors?' she bids all the saints, all the martyrs, all the angels and archangels to fall down with her and pray for mercy on all without distinction. It ends by her winning from God a respite of suffering every year from Good Friday till Trinity day, and the sinners at once raise a cry of thankfulness from Hell, chanting, 'Thou art just, O Lord, in this judgment.'-The Brothers Karamazov, Fyodor Dostoevsky
