Nothings changed - PTSD

For you girlfriend's, how did your DB act when they came home? Did they act like they want to be with you, or did they not call very much if you are not living in the same state, etc? I'm having trouble distinguishing whether my DB wants to be with me but just is acting weird right now, or doesn't know how to break up with me? he says he wants to be with me, but when i ask him why he doesn't call, he says he hates the phone and doesn't know why we can just talk every few days? i really don't think that makes sense if you love someone to not want to speak to them? he calls home and talks to his parents, so that's what makes me think that it's not PTSD and it's just he doesn't want me in his life, but he keeps saying wait until i get home next week.

I would just ask him hun

of course in a very calm understanding matter. I have seen relationships that struggle through PTSD because thier guy is distancing himself and I have also seen many relationships that drag on because like you said they "didn't know how to break up"

i would guess (although i have no real experience) that he is readjusting...just talk to him like kyley said and see where you stand...

you said he is coming home next week. just wait he prob just needs a little time to re-adjust. relationships are always changing and growing and maybe he is just a little worried about how different it will be. He said he wants to be w/ you so just give him a little space. it's only a week you can wait that long.
