I guess
I'll just post all my gloomy husband posts in this forum for now.
![]() Tonight we're going to Osaka/Kyoto for our last trip. We're going to be gone for three nights and four days. Should be a good time, right? Well, it's not. In the past three months, my husband has gained probably twenty pounds. The only time it bothers me is when he throws a temper tantrum because he can't find anything to wear --- which is what's going to happen when he packs for the trip. ![]() I occasionally ask if he wants to go to the gym with me, but something always comes up. He has to work late, he's not feeling great, he has class that night. He's an emotional eater. I want to tell him to stop, but that will be another argument. ![]() For the record, it doesn't bother me that he gained so much weight so fast. The only time I SEE it is when he's throwing a fit because a shirt that used to fit doesn't. I really don't care, he could weigh 300 pounds and I'd still love the twirp. I just hate walking on egg shells over something so trivial like what he's going to wear, or being afraid that he's going to rupture a vessel when he has to pack tonight. ![]() This is not my husband. The diagnosis was a blessing and a curse.

Britt ~ Have they started him on medication yet? What you described about his weight is exactly how I would act towards James in that type of situation.
I wish we didn't have so many stressful things in common (I have PTSD, and as you know we just seperated from the military as well). Its not easy dealing with all these things, that's for sure. Hang in there sweetie. DJ has got one awesome wife, and hopefully with time his prognosis will be better and he'll come around to being his old self again.

![]() He's been on medication off and on for the past three years. This doctor doesn't want him on it because she doesn't think it'll do him any good while he's here. (Psychologically, he's put a block up about this place - it's hard to explain.) She's basically telling him (us) to stick it out, we're outta here in 8 weeks. She thinks a majority of his symptoms will dissipate once we're out of here and settled elsewhere. One can hope.
