What kind of work do you do? I'm at work this morning too. I am dreading the next couple of weeks. Every Oct and July my company has an audit which means tons of work for me.
My weekend was great! I went with a friend to Vegas
AND I got to talk to DB for a minute (literally) this morning on fb chat.

I work at at a casino, in food and beverage. I've had a loooonnnng week. We usually work four 10-hour shifts, and this week I've worked 6 days. But I get 5 days off after tonight. . What kind of work do you do?

Vegas sounds like an awesome time! I've never been. Any fun plans for this weekend, yet? I'm thinking that if the whether is nice, I'm going to take DS to a Harvest Festival - pumpkin picking, hayrides, and all the fun Fall things.

Do you and your DB get to talk often? How long have you two been together?

10 hour shifts are rough! Yuck!
I am a benefits consultant and I also do accounting since I work for a small company. Accounting is soooo boring.
No fun plans for this weekend. I might get my hair cut on Saturday but I haven't called for an appointment yet.
We talk maybe twice a week, either on gchat or fb. The connection sucks so no video. We've been together about a year long distance but I've known him for 6 years...we met in college How about you?

Ten hour shifts aren't so bad, once you get use to them. I have been doing it for two years now, so it's nothing to me. Plus, I enjoy the extra day off. I don't think accounting would be something I'd be good at... Math is definitely not my strong suit.

That's good that you get to talk twice a week. DB and I talk almost daily through FB chat or e-mail. We're lucky. But no video chat for us either. And I probably get a phone call about every two weeks. We've been together for about 7.5 months. We met three months before he deployed.

So, tell me about you... What type of music do you like? Favorite TV show?

Hope you are having a good day!

How did you meet? Is there a good story??
DB and I met in college

About me...my life is taken over by work it seems. When I'm not working I like to bake, go to the gym, explore places in the area...
I like all kinds of music. I really only listen to stuff I have on my itunes. Sorry that wasn't very helpful
I watch everything on Hulu or Netflix. I'm really excited about watching the fifth season of army wives. I love grey's. Law and order is probably my all time favorite show. You?

We actually met at a Yellow Ribbon Program... It's part of pre-deployment for soldiers. I am good friends with someone in his unit... Well, actually I knew a lot of people from his unit -- three of them use to work with me. Then, we became FB friends and then texted all the time. I knew right away he was different than anyone I'd ever met. I swore we weren't going to get serious before he got back, because it would be too hard to deal with a year deployment with only knowing each other a few months... Well, in about a week, that thought was out the window. Sorry it's a long explanation.

So, if you & your DB met in college, was he in your classes? Or did you know mutal friends?

I completely understand about your life being taken over by work. I feel that way quite often. But I like to spend time with my son, I bake a lot too, hang with my friends, and watch sports (I am SUPER big sports fan). I like all types of music, but I was born & raised on country. Army Wives is hands down my favorite show. I bought season 5 on dvd last week, and I've watched all but the last episode already. I like Criminal Minds, CSI, and a lot of other shows too.

It sounds like we have a lot in common! My new favorite show is Body of Proof. I not-so-secretly want to be a medical examiner and that's what the show is about.

    That's a cute story!

DB & I met through friends I guess. I don't remember the exact moment we met. We used to go to lunch together
I had a class or 2 with him since my major was international business and his was international relations. I was in a sorority (I am definitely not a typical sorority girl though!) and his frat was across the street, so I was there a lot. Sophomore year at a party I told him I needed to tell him something - so we left the dance floor, went around the corner and he likes to say I raped him
It's slowly gone from there. Jr & Sr years he studied abroad. After graduation I lived in China, he enlisted, now a few years later here we are!
