Hello! Nice to "meet" you, as well!

I'm *almost* on month number two, now! It's gone by much quicker than I expected. I get to chat with DB online almost every day, which I think helps to make things easier. That's awesome that you're on your last month of deployment! I am excited FOR YOU!

My day was okay... I worked. I got off about an hour ago. So, I'm getting ready for bed soon. I'm off tomorrow and the next day, so I'm looking forward to that. How was your day?

My weekend has gone well, I'm so glad Monday is a holiday! I'm going to the San Diego contemporary art festival in about an hour. I've never been to something like that, have you?

That's so awesome you get to chat every day! What does you DF do? Luckily DH works with computers all day so i've been in contact with him too. They just left Australia (i hope I get some cool gifts hahaha).

Do you get Labor day off too? What are your plans?

Glad you've had a nice weekend! I've never been to the any kind of art festival. Sounds fun, though. You'll have to let me know how that went. My day was good. Went bowling with my best friend, her boyfriend and our kiddos. I even won the first game! I got a 118 which was the highest score I've ever gotten! Although, not much of an accomplishment when two of my fellow bowlers were 5 year olds.

I consider myself extremely lucky that we get to communicate as often as we do. I know many ladies don't hear from their SOs for weeks or even months at a time, so I am thankful for that. His job is in supply. That's extremely cool that they just left Austrailia! I've always wanted to go there. Hope you do get some nice gifts.

No, unfortunately I work at a casino that only closes on Easter and Christmas Day. I'll be working 12p-10p tomorrow. How about you? Any fun plans?

    Have a great day!

That's a pretty good bowling score! I think i've only ever gotten like 100. Bowling is definitely not my strong suite.

So what do you do at the casino? Are you a dealer? omg DH loooves to go to the casinos, we have a few out here where we live, all indian reservations. I like playing pai gow and roulette, but that's all i'll stick to! He actually called me a few days ago saying he won at the casino in Australia and I got mad at him because seriously, you're in Australia, why are you at a casino?!

Anyway, my weekend was great, i needed this day off, i work the typical 40 hr Monday-Friday schedule

So how are you holding up? I'm glad the first month went fast for you! Each individual month always flew by however when it's still not over that's when I felt frustrated. Another weekend down though, we're that much closer!!

If I break 100 in bowling, I'm happy. Because for me, that's good.

I work in food and beverage. It's a good job and like most of the people I work with, so that's a plus. & at least your DH won when he went to the casino in Austrailia! Better than losing. We have a couple other casinos in my state, and I can gamble at them, but I don't very often... & when I do play, it's usually just the slots. What kind of job do you have?

I'm holding up pretty well. Communication with DB has been pretty steady. We went through a period recently where there was always some kind of technical difficulty and we couldn't chat. But now, it's been good. I've been working on DB's birthday CPs and I'm going to send them out later this week! I'm super excited about it.

I'm sure the end of deployment seems to drag on forever, but you're so close! Every day is a little closer! How are you doing?

I work for a health insurance company it's the job I got right out of college and it paid well and let me stay in San Diego so... whatevs. Actually it's not too bad but somehow I got stuck in an office with ALL female employees, so it makes for a dramalicious day!

I'm so happy for you that you get to communicate with him often! I swear that's what kept me sane during this entire deployment. After a while it just seemed like I was writing to a penpal, but it still helped me get through the day knowing he didn't forget about ya know?

Anyway, things are good here! Oh funny story...so I jumped on the bandwagon for the Diamond Candles and had only burned the candle for a few hours before I went out downtown with some friends. Well needless to say I came home a little tipsy and seriously DUG through the candle just to get the ring out. Alas...a ruined candle and wax hands when I woke up

    How's your week?

That's good that you found a good paying job that let you stay there. Oh, man. All females? I don't think I could handle that. Most of my friends have always been guys. Girls are so much drama, but I do have a best friend at my work who is a girl, but she's awesome.

It does seem like writing to a penpal, at times. That's a good way of explaining it. But sometimes all I need is to know is that he's thinking of me & loves me. Even if it's just a simple two line message it still makes my day. I feel like it would definitely be harder if we were not able to have as much communication. I'm glad you are able to talk to your DH too!

Your Diamond Candle story was hilarious! Did you post pictures of your ring? If not, you should... I'd love to see it. I have thought about getting a Diamond Candle for myself. My week has been okay. My work week has been crazy, and my schedule all over the place... But I work my normal 6p-4a then have a day off. But I am ready for the weekend. I haven't really had any excitement this week, other than my DS starting kindergarden and I've been working on DB's b-day CP. Hope you have a good day!

Ya groups of girls is no bueno Can you imagine we've had arguments over putting recycled paper vs regular paper in the copier? The insanity!!!

So how's your man holding up? I think in the beginning of the deployment I thought it was all about me (aka feeling sorry for myself) but I guess I didn't realize how stressful DH's job was on him too. My advice is just be there for him too and make sure he's doing well. Oooh what'd you put in your CP?! I swear every one of my care packages were so random! I'd usually put protein supplements and toiletries in them couldn't think of much else.

I haven't posted pictures yet of my candle, I've been too lazy! But i did end up loving my ring. Except one of my good friends liked it even more so I just gave it to her, I don't think it was real. But it was a really pretty yellow diamond with two white diamonds on the side. I just ordered my 2nd one though so I'll definitely post pictures for that one. I just wish they weren't so expensive...I can't stop buying them

Well I hope your schedule gets a break soon, you sound like a busy mom! Hope all is well
