Every dr is different. Someone said tuna isnt on the high mercury list and it actually is. And my ob only allows 1 can of tuna per week. I opted to stay away from it
My ob also said to limit or avoid hot dogs due to the sodium content and nitrates. I opted to stay away from or heat lunch meat due to the possibility of listeria. You dont HAVE to. But some reccomend it Stay away from large quantitys of caffiene. Only in moderation. I opted to stay away from it except that in chocolate Dont lift anything too too heavy. I carried my son thru my pregnancy and he was 27lbs. I carried him all the way up til my section date. Try to not change cat litter. If you must then wear gloves and a mask and wash your hands extra good afterwards No hottubs and make sure your showers or baths are not too hot STay away from certain meds. www.safefetus.com is a great site that shows you what class a drug is in And the obvious. No drinking, smoking, drugs etc. |

Adding things I don't c up here already....
I read in one of the Pregnancy books I have that lunch meat also has nitrates and to avoid those (mostly deli meats, I think). My SIL's Dr. told her to stay away from lunch meat completely. Anything that could make u lose ur balance and fall. Falling=bad. No skiing, bike riding, roller blading, etc. As ur body grows, u don't really have time to adjust for it so ur not as good as balancing and can fall easier. Towards the end u really shouldn't even be standing on stepladders and such since your balance is messed up from all the extra weight on the front of ur body. Don't forget to keep up ur fluid intake!!!! It can cause major problems including the inability to produce enough amniotic fluid to keep baby happy (baby eats it u know, and even though he pees it back out, u need to keep producing it as he grows). I can't think of anything else at the moment.... |
