Protein in urine late in preg?
Ok
these dr's here are complete idiots so bare with me...i had an eye infection 3 weeks ago and went in the er. my bp was 140-something/99 and i was swollen in my legs pretty bad. so they sent me to l&d and did labs on bloodwork and everything was fine and i was told by my dr (the only smart on there thats now gone) i have pregnancy induced hypertension and to do a 24 urine catch and i have to do non stress tests every week. that was 36 weeks. so i go in for my 37 week appt and since my dr is about to go on tad and not taking patients i had to see a midwife i saw before him (who f-ed up everything royally and didnt do anything she was supposed to do for me prior to see the dr). she kept looking at the results and i could tell by her body language something was wrong but she said "nope your fine its all normal" i said even the urine? she said yep no protein. so i go in for my 38 wk appt yesterday and didnt feel like waiting 1 hr to see my midwife (non stress test scheduling was really bad for that day) so i saw a different one. she looked at my results from the urine catch 2 weeks ago and said oh you have pre-eclampsia. i said NO last week she said my urine was fine. then the midwife gave me some exscuse blah blah blah. obviously i had quite a bit of protein in my urine to have full blown pre-e, or id think so. my feet were swollen but not "bad", his heart rate would drop a lot when i had contractions but it wasnt "bad" and his fluid is low but not "bad". all according to her. and this midwife is known for letting women go ridiculously far over their due date so i dont know if thats why she didnt schedule induction.so i go in today with a headache from hell and contractions ever 3-5 min for 12 hours and well im not in labor and my bp was low but im doing another 24 hour catch. the midwife that was on call, who is training, asked if i had an induction scheduled because of the pre-e and i told her no. then when i was leaving she said not to come in saying i had pre-e anymore because i dont have it because my bp is lowering. i was TOLD to come in saying that yesterday so theyd take me in (and she was in the damn room with the midwife training so she heard her). basically as you can see these midwives are freaking idiots. if i have protein in this 24 hour catch what should i do? should i demand induction? what if they dont tell me? my dr, the smart one, is leaving tuesday so he cant help me at all anymore. i just dont knwo what to do. ive been feeling terrible so i know something isnt right

I have no clue. As I have never been prego. But I wouldn't want my child to suffer because some mid-wife thinks she can play around. I would really look into and find out if she is putting YOU or YOUR child in danger because SHE has some power thing going on. I would be pissed. Plus she should not lie to you even about the smallest things that don't matter

Its definately something to worry about. I would ask to be seen by someone else and not except no for an answer. I assume this is a military hospital, is there an officer in charge that you can speak to? I went in with my dd with a severe headache because of pre-e and they had to induce me. If you dont feel comfortable with your care, raise hell until someone will listen to you. Pre-e has to be closely monitored.
