First Pre-natal appointment.... - Pregnancy

what to expect?
I go for my first pre-natal appointment under 2 weeks I will be nearly 9 weeks pregnant then. What is going to happen? Will they take a scan? I'm guessing lots of questions to answer, and does DH need to come with me? If I'm gonna have a scan then of course I want him to be there.
I'm just clueless what to expect!

for me my first appointment was just a meeting with a doc and we just talked about the do's and don'ts of pregnancy and any medical history. I am not having my first u/s until I am 11 weeks. good luck!

At my registration it was just a bunch of questions and filling out forms, getting pre-natal vitamins.
At my appointment i had a well-woman examination and an ultrasound only because they couldn't find a heartbeat.

every doctors office does it different. mine did allt he paperwork, blood work, and an u/s in the 1st appointment. some don't do one until closer to 12 weeks and some wait even till 20 weeks. you could always call and ask them exactly what to expect.

personally DF went to the 1st appointments. he had questions too and plus it's an experience for them. after that he only went to the big ones that included u/s's.

I'm super lucky. My dr loves ultrasounds and I get one everytime!
First appointment I did paperwork, weight, blood pressure, pee tests, and ultrasound.

Every dr is different. I had an u/s and talked to the dr about medical history and got blood work done.

First Apt Ultrasound Blood work, Pee in a Cup and the Oh so Fun pap smear and other lovely internal crap they did bring your DH

I think DH will come just to be there. Will probably give them a call later to ask. But i just wanted to hear everyones experiences!

I got an u/s at my first appt, as well as my 2nd, 3rd, 4th...and so on. I was going every week in the beginning so I didn't go exactly by the book.

A little secret though from what I have been told is that if you "don't know" when your LMP was then they will do one to see the baby's age. Not that I am condoning lying or anything

I don't know when my LMP was Dr. got it.
