I need a natural birth info

I am not pregnant, but hopefully at some point in the future I will be. I am really interested in natural birth but idk anything about it really. I need someone to give me the gory details, do not sweeten it up. I need the truth. Dh is not a fan of this, but I am so scared of giving birth in a hospital. I just feel that unless there is a complication there is no reason to have so many people screwing with your body like that. There's too much room for human error in a situation where your body is made to do this naturally, kwim?

oh no i totally understand. I just thought of it because it goes over all the differences between hospital and home birth, and really dives into natural child birth. Just let me know whenever, I don't expect to be selling it anytime soon.

I probably will be interested at some point. I'm just in the very early stages of learning about this. Originally I thought it was rediculous because I thought 'If we have all these medical advances why not use them?" But the more I learn about childbirth the more I understand why people would choose natural and at home or in a freebirth clinic. i also don't want to spend 3 days in a hospital if nothing's wrong, kwim? I wanna be home with the baby, should I ever be lucky enough to have one.

well, my first was 8 days late, but when she decided to come, she came in 45 minutes. No time for an epi, and it hurt like no one can ever describe, lol. The beauty of it was that it was over so quick and though sore, I can say I did it with no epi, KWIM? I tore, but only minorly and she was there and I could get up and walk 20 minutes later for her first bath. Did I mention how bad it hurt, lol?

My second and third were induced (because they were worried they would come even more quickly). I had all intentions of no epi, but it hurt so bad I went for the epi once in labor. It was an equally beautiful birth with them, but without so much of the pain...

It boils down to the fact that you should do what you need to. However, I would never recommend having the first anywhere but a hosp. You never know what could and will happen, and you are better off being in a place that can handle any advent. You can control the things you are worried about, just do you reseach now (like you are) and be in control...

You can go home whenever you want and don't have to spend three days in the hosp. With my third, I went home the very next day... If your baby and you are well, you can go home whenever you want, though it may be AMA (against medical advice).

I would worry that anything AMA would look like negligence. Obviously if there was a legit reason to stay in the hospital, I would. I looked into a freebith clinic but it's so far away.

Being in a hospital makes sense but it's going to be hard to find a Dr that will meet my needs around here, kwim>
