lifting your arms?!
So a bunch of women yelled at me today cause I was trying to put a clock back on the way (was reaching real high almost climbing on the counter) for rasing my arms above my head!
Do you do it? My friend said he sister delivered a stillborn at 8 months because she was reaching too high and the cord got warped into a knot and killed the baby. |

My mom yelled at me during my pregnancy about this too because she saw me cleaning ceiling fans. I don't know if there is any merit to this belief. I agree that it's probably just a wives tale.

I always thought it was about not lifting heavy things up high because it strains ceratin muscles, not just reaching. This can't be true because ther have all kinds of aerobic-type classes for expectant mothers and they lift their arms up. (Well, I've seen it in pictures anyway.
