Baby Addison - Pregnancy

Well She is here. She arrived July 26,2009 at 2:42 pm. She is 7 pounds even and 20 3/4 inches long. I figured I would just post my birth story here too.

About 12:30 am on the 26th. I woke up thinking I had to pee lol. I felt this weird like pop and stood up. My water had broke. So I went upstairs told my mom. We got ready to go to the hospital. I wasn't feeling any contractions at that point. Well we got there and I got hooked up. They checked me and said I was a good 3. About 4:30 am I still wasn't feeling any contractions. I was having them about every 7 minutes though according to the monitor. They started the pitocin and the contractions started coming stronger and faster. They still didn't hurt too bad but I got my epidural about an hour later. They wanted me to rest and the contractions were just strong enough to wake me up with each one. I was at a 4 by then. I stayed at a 4 for 6 hours until the nurse came in and stretched me to a 5. She then checked me about 10 and said I was still a 5 but stretchy. I was still a 5 at 12:30 pm but when they came back at 2:20 to check me I was a 10 and they told me to start pushing. I pushed for about 15 minutes and she was out.

She is such a perfect baby. They said everything checked out and her lungs were fine. She had gotten some amniotic fluid in there when I was delivering and her heart rate dropped because the cord was wrapped around her neck.

Aawww she is so cute! A nice little round head from the looks of things. No cone head like my dd had! my ds came so fast he ended up with the cord wrapped around his neck and amniotic fluid in his lungs. But he was good. She is truly precious. Good job mom!
