SIGH-- KILL ME!
I'm SO ready for this baby to be born!!
I can't take it any longer. I'm SOOO miserable!! My doctor wanted me to come in today for an appointment after having my ultrasound. I got excited and figured he'd induce me today or tomorrow.. but NOOOO. I STILL have to wait till the 15th!! I have an appointment monday and if I'm not effaced more then I'm going to have to get a C-Section the 15th. He wants me to wait till I'm 39 weeks. Which is good, I don't want the baby to have problems from coming too soon. But I'm not sure if I should go with the csec or try vaginally.. What do you ladies think? Edit: OH and I'm measuring 42wks! |

personally, i would rather have at least tried. I am really hoping to avoid c-section unless absolutely necessary because I will have 5 kids to care for post partum so my opinion might be skewed a little. besides, i am a whoose as far as pain/discomfort goes. but that is just me. lol.

I would try vaginally first, no question about it. At least you will know that you tried, and if it didn't work out then you did what you needed to do.
A vaginal delivery is 1.) easier to recover from, 2.)better for the baby (in most cases), the movement and, for lack of a better word, squishing helps to push fluid out of thier lungs/prepare them to take that first breath etc... 3.) less risk of infection/complications for you post partum 4.) you will be able to hold baby right after delivery and breastfeed (if that is something you want) with a c-section you will be recovery at least the first hour, and not allowed to hold baby. I think there are pro's and con's, only you know how you would feel if you labored for hours then ended up with a c-section. It is a major surgery though. Good Luck deciding. Hopefully little one will decide to just come, and you will progress and not need to worry about the decision.
