Think this would be allowed, but some sort of cleansing wipe. Like on the "Always" pads, they came with a wet wipe to kinda clean things back up. That im sure would be nice to have so you can stay clean!

Hope. It is the only thing stronger than fear.

You would need to ask if those are okay

I heard that from a German midwife so I wanted to see if anyone has experienced any difficulties with this. She told me that it can confuse the baby when using strongly scented deodorant/lotion/parfum right after the baby is born because it doesn't smell like mommy?

If you get cut or tear, it can be VERY sensitive down there, I would be concerned that they have chemicals in them that could irritate it and make tha pain worse. Every hospital I have delivered at has given me a soft pop top bottle to use to squirt to clean (you dab, not wipe) and if you use warm water, it helps

The thought of wiping my hooha after having DS makes me cringe! I had the peri bottle. I used it for like 3 weeks before I could even use TP. Everything down there hurt like crap.

With my c-section it wasn't as bad and would have been nice though since even standing to shower made me sick to my stomach and want to puke.

Id never heard that exactly, but it makes sense. I never used much stuff on my clothing because I didn't want DD to have an allergic reaction (same with lotions). I'm not sure what you'd consider "strong smelling" but I don't think a light scented body spray is going to bother baby...if you breastfeed your milk is still going to smell like you.

I did, but I didn't end up using it. The pillows on the hospital bed propped up around me worked better for us. I use my boppy all the time at home, though. Honestly I didn't use most of the stuff that I brought with me.
