Interesting Question

I'm sorry if this is painful to some of you, but I was doing some thinking the other day about miscarriages and menstrual cycles and I was wondering if the two were related.

For example, if you have "normal/heavy" cycles have you miscarried or do you have "light" cycles and miscarry?

My thoughts are that perhaps a heavier period is more likely to be able to carry a baby longer than a woman who has a lighter period because of the lining and other things in the uterus(sorry, I totally butchered that last part)

i have no idea if there is a correlation between the two. there are many women that have super irregular periods and don't menstruate for months...does that play a factor in this question too? i, personally, don't think the two are related just because miscarriage is supposedly the body's way of passing a baby that isn't viable.

Perhaps, it could. I wasn't really thinking about that when I asked the question, but that's a good point too.

i had medium to heavy periods and miscarried

but there was another reason involved in as well

a year later still medium to heavy periods and am 36 weeks
