I've had 3...one while i was pregnant with dd, one after i gave birth to her, and one while i was pregnant with ds. I always got them in my shoulder. They never bothered me at all. The area I got the shot in would just be a bit sore for a little while.

yeah....it is a shot to prevent you from making antibodies against the D antigen. (Rh positive) You get it at around 28 weeks and then again within 72 hrs after birth. I work in a blood bank and give it out all the time i've just never been on the receiving end.
So not too bad is the consensus? Excellent.... |

yup. it is to prevent you from developing antibodies against a positive blood type if you yourself are negative. thus the next pregnancy is not in any danger, otherwise the antibody would be there and if your next kiddo was positive you develop antibodies against the baby which is bad news.
