We had picked names way before we even got married so when I got pregnant the first time we already had names. We had decided on Kaitlyn Maria and Kaleb Samuel. Both first names were and are names that we both really liked and the middle names are family names (my middle name and DH's middle name).
This time we still love Kaleb Samuel and decided on Kailey Deborah. Same concept, love the first name and middle names are family names. You could try baby name books, websites like http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com/ and names you hear/read throughout the day

we talked about names before we got preggo.. then, while df was deployed i picked out a boys name and fell in love with it, it meant soldier, so i got preggo during r&r, after he came home we found out it was a girl, and he has two daughters already but he didnt get to pick out their names, so i wanted alot of his imput and FINALLY he gave me the name ellie. he said he's always loved it (and later he told me it was his version of elizabeth which is my middle name and my mothers name) and i said THATS IT! her name is ellie lol

I chose to name ds after dh, he wasn't thrilled about it but let me do it. When I got preggo with dd we decided on Isabella for a girl and Justin for a boy. Her middle names are mine and his grandmother's names. Good thing both his grandmother's have the same name otherwise my poor little girl would have the world's longest name.

We've had the girl name for a long time now and we actually found the name for the boy like 4 days before we found out we were pregnant
We love both names and I guess once we see our baby's face we will know for sure if the name goes perfect with the baby

How did you go about picking out names?
With ds we wanted to name him after dh but we did not want to call him jr. So we just switched dh's first and middle name, ds has dh's middle name first and then his first name. How did you know that the name you picked out was "the one"? We just knew that we wanted their names to mean something. DS after his dad and our dd will be named after my hero, Corrie ten Boom, in that her name is taken from Corrie's given name Cornelia. Any advice or suggestions on finding the perfect name? We are big on their names having meaning. And both ds and dd's names have good meaning. I would get some name books and go through them for names that have great meaning and that you like. Also think of people in your life that have touched you in life changing ways. Does not have to be someone you know just someone who's life story has spoken to you. I have never met Corrie ten Boom but her story changed my life just from hearing it.

We were sitting in bed one night thinking of names and we decided on Haley Jo or Lucas David...Then come to find out that some friends of ours that were also having a baby was naming there daughter to be Haley..we had already found out we were having a girl so yes we could have kept Haley for a name but I started to not like it so much anymore anyways soI brought up Emma..I had before but DH didn't like it and all a sudden DH liked the name so we kept it at Emma Jo and it never changed again
