my darn glucose test

I did everything like I was supposed to and still failed it! Now I need to go on a special diet for 3 days before I go back for the 3 hour test :mad I feel like such a loser. Maybe I should've followed the "best odds" diet from What to Expect When You're Expecting instead of eating whatever I feel like eating. I guess from here on out I better keep it in check. Wish me luck on my next test!

Awwww its ok!! I failed my one hour one also!! The stupid 3 hour one sucked!! But I passed that one!! my Dr. told me that I probably failed because of what I ate the night before!! Dont get yourself down over this!!

Don't feel bad. I failed mine with my first son too. I hated drinking that stuff! I passed my 3 hour one though. You will do better it will be okay!

It is not a pass or fail thing. Some people just have more sugar in their bodies while pregnant than others. Don't beat yourself up over it and just watch what you eat a little bit more from now on. You will be fine and so will the baby.

Good Luck, I bet you jsut ate something before bed that made your sugars a little higher.

i failed my one hour with my first and they told me i had GD. i had to watch what i ate and take my blood sugars 4 times a day. be glad you get a 3 hour test too! most people i have heard that fail the 1 hour end up passing the 3 hour.

Thanks girls, I really hope I pass the 3 hour. Too bad they didn't have a bed in the waiting room so I can just take a nice nap while I'm taking the test

It's ok...I know it sucks, but it'll be ok. Take a really good book for the 3 hour one. Or a magazine...or a journal...or a nap!!! LOL

I had to take the 3 hour test too...I HATE needles so it sucked for me!! This was probably bad on my part, but I ate normal after the 1 hr until I took the 3 hour one...no special diet or anything and it came back fine.
