Paranoia????
Does any one else's SO act nutty about their surroundings? This is not just post-deployment... it happens all the time.
Even innocent by-standers are a question mark according to him. It seems like anyone that doesn't fall into a normal/boring category is a suspect!!!! . Anyone else feel the same?... tI'm all for being safe and erring on the side of caution but this is making me a little crazy.

Yea, things like that are totally normal. There are a lot of good articles, books and websites that talk about things like this that happen when they return.

This is my thought as well. I grew up with PTSD (father was a Vietnam veteran) and these were some of the symptoms he exhibited. I cannot tell you how much is "normal" and when it's "too much", but don't forget PTSD as a possibility.

The post-deployment stuff is like when he gets mad at traffic b/c he's driving a tiny little car and when he was deployed he could just run everything over w/ a Hummer. ![]() He threw a fit at his mother for posting a congrats article in their local newspaper (verrry small town) when he graduated from the Special Forces course a few years ago... it had a pic of him in his green beret and he lost it on her... he was like "mom, now people know what i look like and where i'm from and that you and dad are linked to me and where you live... it makes you targets too." He would get pissy with me if I posted pics of us together on this site as part of my signature... that's the part I don't get. There are so many posters out there with their SO's pics up... why is he any different? I know this is something that will prolly never change... it's just annoying sometimes because he gets so bent out of shape.
