Reintegration?
DF is supposed to be coming home next month, and told me that he is interested in doing some reintegration program. He is in the Army
NG, I don't know if that makes a difference. Have any of you ladies attended similar programs? I'm not really sure what the program entails, but it doesn't sound like a bad idea, especially if it is something that can help him readjust to being home. It is for military couples apparently. Any information or experiences would be appreciated! TIA! |

I haven't had experience with this. You are lucky that your DF wants to participate. I think it would be a good experience. I learned about this at the FRG meeting and told DH about it and he is refusing to go. I think the 1st session is for couples and then there are two more (one at 60 days back and one at 90 back) just for the soldier to attend. I hope others can offer experiences with this.

We went to 3 different sessions, like once every 6 weeks or so, after DB got back from Iraq. It was kind of a joke honestly. It was nice of them to put us up in a hotel the night before though, and we had a better time going out w/ everyone the night before at least. If you want to know anything else feel free to PM me.

Yes, yes, yes... they don't offer the CG Reserve anything like that and there have now been 5 divorces and 2 guys who got in serious trouble since they came back. DB has had some problems with his temper being short (he's not violent but he sure gets irritated fast). He asked around to see if there was anything for them, even counseling and they told him
.Take advantage of anything offered!

I hear the classes are informational and helpful if you've never dealt with someone post-deployment. DH just got back and I wasn't even invited to go to them! So you are definitely lucky

DH is active duty and they had mandatory reintegration classes the day after they returned. The spouses were welcome to attend on our post. If you have any questions please PM me I forget to check back on all threads. I have done volunteer work at ACS,and with FRG so I may be able to help you find the info you need. |
